Lee's
study of the martial and healing and meditative aspects of internal arts began
in 1962 with wrestling in High School and due to environmental necessities,
street fighting. At age 19 he entered the US Army, became a paratrooper then
later earned a Green Beret where he was trained in weapons, demolitions,
psychological operations and intelligence, communications, mountain climbing, knife/hand-to-hand fighting, Shotokan Karate and battlefield medicine. Lee
trained and led Indo-Burmese tribal warriors in guerilla warfare in Laos and
Cambodia during the Vietnam war. (see

Lee's first understood experience with 'chi' was while studying Kung Fu in Boulder, Colorado with Sifu Art Gitland in 1974-'76. In 1977 Lee began his study of Tai Chi with Professor Steve Katz a student of Cheng Man Ching.
Lee started studying with Taoist Master B. K. Frantzis in 1979 and began in-depth practices of nei gung, Tai Chi Chuan, Ba Gua Zhang and meditation. Lee continues his studies with Master Frantzis. Lee is a certified Senior instructor in the systems of EnergyArts.
During Lee's time in Denver, Colorado he studied Ba Gua Zhang, Chen and Yang fighting tai chi with Master Bing Kai Lee from 1991 to 1996. From 1994-1996 Lee intensively studied Hsing Yi with Master Mike Bingo of Tang Shou Tao.
Lee's main studies include Yang Tai Chi of the Tung family lineage for thirty years; Chen Tai Chi of the lineage of Chen Zhaokui for seventeen years. Lee currently studies and practices Ba Gua Zhang and Wu Tai Chi from the lineage of Liu Hung Chieh, Taoist Grandmaster of Bruce K. Frantzis the founder of EnergyArts.com.
Lee studied at the University of Colorado, Boulder from 1976-1980, majoring in Physics. He worked at the Department of Commerce conducting experiments into the nature of time/space. It is Lee's scientific background of physics that brings fun and uniqueness to the traditional teaching of the internal arts. You can't escape the physics of gravity.
Lee's interest in health and healing was born out of the traumas of war. In his own healings he's recognized the human need and necessity for the well-being of spirit, soul and body. Sharing his knowledge he helps people to experience and recognize an inner connected depth of dynamic energy to the nature of being human.
